Ghosted

This is a new thing I am trying to do. New movies only come out once a week but I really want to make new content available regularly. I am constantly watching new trailers when they are released so I figured why don’t I give my thoughts. Without further a do here are my thoughts on Fox’s new trailer for Ghosted.

Starring Craig Robinson (“The Office,” “This Is the End”) and Adam Scott (“Parks and Recreation,” “Big Little Lies”), GHOSTED is a single-camera, action-comedy about the unlikely partnership between two down-on-their-luck polar opposites tasked with an even more unlikely mission: saving the human race from aliens. LEROY WRIGHT (Robinson) is a cynical skeptic and former missing persons detective, who, if we’re speaking frankly, thinks that “aliens” are a big ole bunch of B.S. and that people who believe in them are certifiably nuts…People like MAX JENNIFER (Scott). Max is a genius “true believer” in the paranormal who’s convinced his wife was abducted by aliens. At low points in their lives, both Leroy and Max are recruited by CAPTAIN AVA LAFREY (Ally Walker, “Colony,” “Sons of Anarchy”), a take-no-prisoners, former Air Force test pilot and head of the Bureau Underground, a secret government organization investigating paranormal cases. Lafrey, along with her staff – BARRY SHAW (Adeel Akhtar, “Unforgotten,” “The Night Manager”), an overly friendly forensic pathologist, and DELILAH WARD, a highly opinionated tech specialist – will support Leroy and Max in their quest for answers. Now, this heroic group of underdogs will look into “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles that often leads them to scary, thrilling and hilarious places, as they attempt to uncover the truth and keep the earth rotating on its axis for at least one more day. –  Fox

I’ve surprisingly have known about Ghosted for a while. I was sold on the idea without even knowing anything. All I knew was it was comedy show about ghosts with Craig Robinson and Adam Scott. Tell me that doesn’t sound great. I’ve been big fans of both of them. I loved Adam Scott on Parks and Rec and Craig Robinson was great on the Office. After seeing the trailer I am further sold on the show. I have always loved the paranormal and especially loved shows that deal with it. The X-Files and Supernatural to name two. Of course I love comedy, so who wouldn’t want to see comedy and paranormal stuff combined.

I am still not too sure what exactly the plot of the show is going to be. It looks like Scott and Robinson are kidnapped and recruited into some agency. The agency is hidden from the public. For some reason they are the only two that can save the world. So that’s interesting. What most appealed to me in the trailer was the two leads. I am really digging their chemistry and want to see more of their dynamic. I got a lot of laughs from the trailer and I am hoping the show gives just as many laughs.

Needless to say I’m excited for this show and I will be watching it when it premiers.
