Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Living on Earth in 1995, she keeps having recurring memories of another life as U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. With help from Nick Fury, Captain Marvel tries to uncover the secrets of her past while harnessing her special superpowers to end the war with the evil Skrulls. – Marvel Studios

Captain Marvel is the 21st installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and perhaps the most controversial film released by Marvel Studios? I really don’t care about Brie’s comments or how people may or may not have misconstrued them—I just wanted to watch a movie in one of my favorite franchises, so that’s what I did. Moving on, the film was directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and was also written by them and Geneva Robertson-Dworet.

Netflix cancelled Daredevil? My Thoughts.

Daredevil was pretty awesome—was. I’m pretty bummed it’s cancelled. I have hope Marvel still has plans for the character because Charlie Cox is frigging awesome. I haven’t finished season 3 yet but it feels like the best season yet and they’ve all been pretty good. Anyways here is my thoughts.

Avengers: Infinity War — Intial Thoughts

The moment I’ve been waiting 10 years for has finally come. I just saw Avengers: Infinity War for the first time and am currently waiting to see it again in about an hour. This movie is easily my most anticipated film of all time. I plan to do a full review once I compose myself and digest this behemoth of a film. In the meantime here’s my initial thoughts:

Wow, that was everything I wanted and more. It was action pack, funny and emotional. Twist and turns a plenty and a lot of surprises. The Avengers were broken up into separate teams for the majority of the movie and the chemistry between everyone was unparalleled. My only complaints are that it’s over and some characters I expected were absent. This is a great film in general but an astounding superhero film. The MCU’s magnum opus.

10 out of 10, going to watch again.

Spider-Man 2 is the Greatest Comic Book Movie, maybe?

Spider-Man 2 is Sam Raimi’s penultimate film in the Tobey Maguire film series. This time Peter Parker is out on his own, down on his luck but still Spider-Man. He faces his best villain in the series Otto Octavius, a man just as smart as Peter and more dangerous. I’m sure you’ve seen the movie so you know who Doc Ock is and you know who Spider-Man is. I think we can all agree Spider-Man 2 is the best Spider-Man movie so far. But I think Spider-Man 2 is the best comic book movie. Yeah The Dark Knight is phenomenal, Logan is a beautiful film and Captain America: Civil War is just great but none of them feel like a comic book. Spider-Man 2 feels like a comic book. I’m gonna run you down a list of reasons why.
